Pilot Purgatory

The state an AI project gets stuck in when it demonstrates well but never reaches production. The proof of concept works and impresses everyone, then stalls between pilot and live because no senior person owns the last mile from working demo to dependable, used system. It is the most common and most expensive way for AI budgets to disappear, and it is almost never a technology problem.

The Handoff Tax

The quality and cost lost every time the senior person who scoped a piece of work hands it to more junior people to deliver. In AI projects it is why the last mile so often fails: the judgement that won the work is not the judgement that ships it. My model removes it, because the person who scopes the work is the person who builds it.

AI-Leveraged Delivery

A delivery model in which one senior operator, amplified by AI, produces the output of a whole team without the team overhead or the handoff tax. The person who scopes the work builds it and ships it, keeping the same judgement on the project from first scope to live. It is the way I run every engagement.

The Leverage Ratio

A way of describing how much a single senior person, using AI, can deliver compared with a conventional staffed team. It is the case for one senior operator over a junior-staffed agency: the work an agency staffs with a team of specialists, one experienced practitioner can now deliver with AI leverage, faster and without the overhead.
